Analytics Associate

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Associate to use data analytic skills and methods to solve problems, create metrics and reports, perform analyses, provide feedback, and deliver insights to support decision making for various enterprise and business initiatives and strategies for areas related but not limited to customer and product profitability, business opportunity pipeline, sales tracking, liquidity financial trends and compliance risk management.


In this role, you will:

  • Use data research capabilities to translate business problems and data needs into low complexity analyses and recommendations
  • Develop standard and customized reports or ad hoc analyses to be leveraged for recommendations
  • Provide updates to project logs, monthly budget forecasts, and contribute to monthly newsletters or operations reviews
  • Participate in projects including assisting systems support group with design, programming, research, testing, and implementation aspects
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to production or issuance issues
  • Assist with developing departmental and division procedures, policies, and controls to maintain the accuracy and efficiency of processes and minimize the risk of incorrect production and issuance output
  • Work on data and business research projects, secondary research testing, or results oriented intelligence
  • Receive direction from supervisor, exercise independent judgment and partner with technology and other business groups
  • Participate with other consultants or program managers on tasks related to the completion of other various projects including project design, collection and research of data, report preparation, or presentation design


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills​ 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills​ 
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy​ 
  • Proven ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change driven atmosphere​ 
  • Proven ability to prioritize work, take personal accountability, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment ​ 
  • Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, acts with urgency, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth​ 
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated interest in developing a career within financial services ​ 


Desired Qualifications:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Applied Math, Computer Sciences, Data Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Physics, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis or related fields 
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest and/or familiarity in Business Intelligence or Data Virtualization tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Starburst or Dremio.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest and/or familiarity in programming languages such as SQL, Python, SAS, VSCode, analytics, research, statistics, data modeling, and/or data management.
