About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Associate Manager
 

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise a team of Operation Specialists responsible for moderately complex transactional and operational tasks such as processing servicing related tasks, identifying problems, improving service levels and develop metric to measure growth and performance

  • Ensure timely completion, quality and compliance within the operation area

  • Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to senior management

  • Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team

  • Make daily supervisory decisions and resolve moderately complex business issues related to team supervision, work allocation and daily operational tasks under direction of Operations management

  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers

  • Lead team to achieve objectives

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations

  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 1+ years of leadership experience


Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:

  • Experience in Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education

  • Leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience handling high-volume operational processes with strict SLA and control requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance

  • Relevant certifications in Banking Operations, Payments, Risk Management, are an added advantage.

Functional Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of payment processing, including wire transfers, ACH, checks, settlements, and exception handling.

  • Sound knowledge of account reconciliations, general ledger balancing, break management, and investigation processes.

  • Understanding of operational risk, audit requirements, controls, and compliance standards.

  • Ability to analyze trends, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions.

Leadership & People Management

  • Demonstrated ability to manage team performance, productivity, quality, and attendance.

  • Experience conducting coaching sessions, performance reviews, and development planning.

  • Ability to create a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong conflict resolution and employee engagement skills.

Analytical & Decision-Making Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Ability to make objective decisions using data and operational insights.

  • Skilled in reviewing MIS, scorecards, productivity reports, and operational metrics.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to engage effectively with senior management, partners, Line of Business, and support functions.

  • Capable of presenting operational issues, risks, and action plans in a structured manner.

Operational Excellence

  • Strong focus on accuracy, controls, and risk mitigation.

  • Ability to proactively identify operational risks and drive process improvements.

  • Experience working with automation, reporting tools, and efficiency initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ownership in driving operational results and meeting business objectives.
