Lead IAM Digital Product Manager

Wells Fargo is back in the office, collaborating for fabulous outcomes.

This role is in the office three days a week and work from home two days a week.

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager to drive the strategy and modernization of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) and authentication platforms. This role is ideal for a technical product leader who started their career in IAM engineering, identity architecture, cybersecurity, or access management and has successfully transitioned into product ownership. You will shape the future of authentication services used across the enterprise, including MFA, passwordless authentication, identity verification, Active Directory modernization, and cloud identity platforms. We're looking for someone who can translate deep IAM expertise into product strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver secure, scalable identity solutions that improve security, customer experience, and business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

Lead the development and execution of complex digital business plans, programs and initiatives with impact across the enterprise.

Act as a key participant in large-scale planning and strategic decision making.

Review and analyze complex digital product strategies and technology roadmaps.

Influence product direction through deep understanding of IAM technologies, cybersecurity trends, business priorities, and regulatory requirements.

Make decisions regarding product strategy, functionality, and modernization initiatives.

Lead cross-functional teams responsible for delivering enterprise identity and authentication capabilities.

Collaborate with technology leaders, engineering teams, cybersecurity partners, risk, compliance, and executive stakeholders.

Serve as a product leader, mentor, and trusted advisor for IAM modernization efforts.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of digital product management experience, product ownership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication technologies, cybersecurity engineering, identity architecture, or related security platforms.

Strong understanding of identity ecosystems and experience translating technical requirements into product strategy and delivery.

Deep knowledge of authentication technologies including MFA, passwordless authentication, passkeys, federated identity, adaptive authentication, and identity proofing.

Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, hybrid identity, and cloud security technologies.

Proven track record leading enterprise modernization initiatives, platform migrations, and cybersecurity transformation programs.

Desired Qualifications

Experience managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) products within a large enterprise environment.

Experience as an IAM Engineer, IAM Architect, Authentication Engineer, Identity Consultant, or similar technical identity-focused role prior to moving into product management.

Experience driving retirement of legacy authentication solutions and implementation of strategic cloud-based identity platforms.

Knowledge of identity governance, privileged access management, authentication protocols, and access security controls.

Experience partnering with risk, audit, regulatory, and compliance organizations.

Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Experience utilizing Agile product management practices, roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and outcome-based delivery.

Knowledge of AI, automation, and emerging identity technologies.

Job Expectations

Act as Product Owner for enterprise authentication and identity platforms supporting millions of authentication transactions.

Lead strategic initiatives involving MFA, Microsoft Authenticator, passwordless authentication, identity verification, Active Directory modernization, and cloud identity services.

Define and execute long-term authentication modernization strategies aligned with business growth, security objectives, and regulatory requirements.

Drive adoption of secure authentication standards and enterprise identity architectures.

Establish measurable outcomes related to fraud reduction, risk mitigation, customer experience, workforce productivity, and operational efficiency.

Coordinate delivery across technology organizations, engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Present product strategy, roadmaps, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.

Champion innovation through AI-enabled and intelligent identity capabilities.

Ensure solutions meet resiliency, availability, security, and compliance requirements.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
