Senior Data Engineer- ETL Engineer

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverables

  • Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting

  • Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

  • Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience in ETL development using PySpark.

  • Hands-on experience on Oracle.

  • Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server and/or Teradata).

  • Experience with enterprise data warehousing concepts.

  • Experience working in Agile Scrum model.

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document ETL processes and data warehouse enhancements.

  • Build and enhance data flows to integrate information security and enterprise data sources into analytics and BI platforms.

  • Develop ETL pipelines using PySpark, and optimize workflows for performance and scalability.

  • Work with multiple data ingestion patterns including NDM file transfers, APIs, and direct database connections.

  • Write efficient and optimized SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata) for transformations, validation, and reporting.

  • Experience with Ab Initio ETL is a nice to have.

Job Expectations:

  • 4+ years ETL development experience with hands-on PySpark development.

  • 3+ years of Oracle experience.

  • Strong experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

  • Experience with operational reporting and data validation processes.

  • Knowledge of Jira, GitHub and CI/CD practices.

  • Experience troubleshooting ETL and production issues.

  • Ability to work with diverse ingestion patterns: NDM files, APIs, direct DB connections.

  • Work experience on Linux.

  • Experience identifying requirements and translating them into technical specifications.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
