About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Lending Servicing Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Provide servicing activities for low to moderately complex commercial products
- Coordinate all aspects of resolving open customer service issues and interact with internal and external customers
- Provide customer service, loan and regulatory diligence and ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record
- Serve as primary liaison and work collaboratively with Sales, Legal, Control and Risk, Technology, and various Operations and company teams as necessary to progress customer-focused needs
- Review and negotiate basic loan servicing transactions, evaluate risks, and devise strategies to mitigate risks and identify procedural modifications
- Serve as an escalation point in the resolution of client issues
- Provide guidance and training to peers
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ or more years of commercial loan servicing, syndicated loan operations, agency servicing, bilateral loan administration, trade settlement, or comparable experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Demonstrated end-to-end experience administering complex commercial loan transactions.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting commercial credit agreements and related servicing documentation.
- Experience resolving complex loan, cash, payment, lender-position, documentation, reconciliation, or system exceptions.
- Experience with Agency, Member, syndicated, participation, or bilateral loan structures.
- Experience performing transaction quality reviews, control checks, or operational risk assessments.
- Experience providing technical guidance, work direction, training, or coaching to other servicing employees.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate issue resolution across multiple business, operations, risk, or control teams.

Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:

Desired Qualifications:
- Exposure to syndicated loans, agency loans, bilateral loans, participations, trade settlements, or foreign loan originations.
- Basic understanding of commercial loan documentation and the loan lifecycle.
- Experience with Loan IQ or another commercial loan servicing platform.
- Experience working with service requests, work queues, transaction trackers, or workflow-management tools.
- Basic reconciliation, accounting, or cash-processing knowledge.
- Experience supporting loan modifications, account maintenance, funding, payments, or rebooking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to research problems and distinguish between routine matters and issues requiring escalation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven processing environment.
- Ability to work independently after receiving instructions and collaboratively within a team.
Job Expectations:
- Administer or provide technical oversight for complex Agency, Member, syndicated, bilateral, participation, and related commercial loan transactions.
- Review and interpret complex credit agreements, amendments, assignment documents, funding notices, fee provisions, servicing instructions, and related legal or operational documentation.
- Translate contractual servicing provisions into required operational actions, validations, system updates, payment activities, controls, and stakeholder communications.
- Lead the resolution of complex or escalated transaction inquiries involving documentation, funding, cash, lender positions, servicing calculations, trade settlements, collateral, or systems.
- Coordinate and reconcile loan advances, repayments, principal, interest, fees, receivables, payables, and lender or member-bank positions.
- Process or oversee letters of credit, assignments, loan trades, funding events, amendments, rollovers, repricing events, paydowns, and other complex servicing activities relevant to the assigned process.
- Review transaction inputs, calculations, supporting documentation, system entries, approvals, and financial movements.
- Perform or oversee risk-based quality-control reviews of complex transactions.
- Identify errors, breaks, control gaps, recurring defects, or unclear procedures and ensure appropriate correction, escalation, and documentation.
- Manage complex service requests within established service-level agreements and ensure required validation is completed before closure.
- Serve as a point of escalation for servicing employees, internal partners, customers, lenders, member banks, and other financial institutions.
- Determine the appropriate escalation path when documentation is ambiguous, instructions conflict, required approvals are missing, or a request falls outside established authority.
- Lead issue resolution requiring coordination among Deal Administration, Quality Control, Collateral, Sales, Legal, Risk, Control, Technology, Finance, and other Operations teams.
- Communicate the issue, financial or operational impact, required action, accountable party, target completion, and escalation status to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide day-to-day technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to less-experienced servicing employees.
- Train team members on Agency and Member loan processes, servicing documentation, transaction controls, reconciliation requirements, and exception handling.
- Support workload prioritization during high-volume periods, complex transaction events, staffing gaps, or critical deadlines.
- Review procedures, job aids, training materials, and control documentation for operational accuracy and completeness.
- Lead or materially contribute to root-cause analysis, defect reduction, process improvement, control remediation, and operational change initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, handoff failures, transaction delays, repeat inquiries, and operational risk.
- Support implementation of approved process changes and help assess employee readiness.
- Maintain complete and accurate transaction records, approvals, supporting documentation, correspondence, and audit evidence.
- Exercise independent judgment within established authority, policies, procedures, risk limits, and control requirements.
- Escalate material financial, customer, regulatory, compliance, or operational risks through the appropriate governance channels
