Technology Product Owner – Developer Experience platform

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technical Product Owner – Senior Lead Digital Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Orchestra Application Development Frameworks product within the CDXO organization. This role is responsible for driving the evolution and adoption of enterprise application development frameworks that enable secure, scalable, and efficient software development across Wells Fargo.


In this role, you will:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for the Orchestra Application Development Frameworks product.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and platform teams to establish enterprise framework standards and development patterns.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives, developer needs, modernization goals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead framework modernization initiatives, including technology upgrades, dependency management, OSS remediation, vulnerability reduction, and end-of-support risk mitigation.
  • Drive adoption of enterprise development frameworks across Java, .NET, UI, Python, and emerging technology stacks.
  • Define and track product KPIs, adoption metrics, modernization outcomes, developer productivity measures, and customer satisfaction indicators.
  • Gather customer feedback from engineering teams and translate insights into product enhancements and roadmap priorities.
  • Partner with application teams to reduce implementation friction and improve framework usability and self-service capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution across multiple engineering organizations in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-assisted development capabilities, and engineering automation opportunities that can enhance developer productivity.
  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, business value, risks, and outcomes to senior technology leaders and executive stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience managing enterprise software products, developer platforms, application frameworks, shared technology services, or engineering enablement products.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile delivery methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver technology products and platform capabilities at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with Jira, GitHub, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery tooling.
  • Strong understanding of application security, software governance, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Experience defining roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, and delivering measurable business and engineering outcomes.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong product ownership experience with enterprise software platforms, developer platforms, frameworks, or shared technology services. 
  • Deep understanding of modern software development practices, including Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-native architectures, and SDLC governance. 
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes aligned to business objectives. 
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage complex product backlogs, balancing customer needs, technical debt, security requirements, and platform modernization initiatives. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence engineering leaders, architects, developers, and executive leadership without direct authority. 
  • Knowledge of enterprise application frameworks such as Java/Spring Boot, .NET, Python, React, Angular, or similar developer enablement platforms. 
  • Experience driving framework adoption, technology modernization, version upgrades, OSS remediation, security compliance, and engineering governance programs. 
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, including definition and tracking of product KPIs, OKRs, and adoption metrics. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and large engineering organizations. 
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating discussions in highly matrixed environments. 
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, developer productivity platforms, Agent Skills, Copilot, automation tooling, and modern engineering practices is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, remove organizational impediments, and drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders. 
  • Technical background in software engineering, architecture, or platform engineering preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience driving enterprise framework adoption, developer experience (DevX) initiatives, AI-assisted modernization, Agent Skills, OSS remediation campaigns, and platform governance programs across large engineering organizations.
