About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Analytics Senior Manager to lead strategic initiatives within the Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) team.  In this high-impact role, you will design and execute analytics strategies that transform complex data into actionable insights, driving customer experience, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across the organization.

You will lead priority analytics projects, partner with senior leaders to influence strategy, and foster strong cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless execution. This position requires deep expertise in treasury payment products, liquidity, sales, transaction risk, and digital solutions, along with proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced data visualization techniques for compelling storytelling.

In this role, you will:

Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and/or managers to enhance business management and execute on key initiatives and processes

Determine appropriate strategy to plan, coordinate, and execute data research projects or results oriented intelligence that support the business

Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers to provide strategic consultation

Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations, and policies and compliance requirements

Determine appropriate strategy and actions of team to develop policies, approval or denial strategies, business line assignment methods, collections, and recovery strategies

Interpret and develop compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives for external agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry forums

Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives

Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

3+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated progression in analytics and data science roles, with a strong leadership track record in complex, matrixed environments—ideally within financial services, and experience in deploying AI/ML solutions at scale.

Prior experience supporting Agile teams in a corporate environment, leadership in global or cross-border teams.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) plus experience with AI/ML frameworks and Generative AI tools for advanced storytelling and automation.

This hybrid role requires working 4 days in-office (or 5 days if business needs demand) and managing a team of 8–16 analytics professionals.

 In this high-impact role, you will design and execute analytics strategies that transform complex data into actionable insights, driving customer experience, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across the organization.

Degree in quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics, with strong exposure to machine learning and data engineering concepts.

Lead & Inspire: Build and mentor a high-performing analytics teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Set Strategic Direction: Define and own the analytics agenda aligned with business priorities, risk frameworks, and compliance standards.

Executive Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders across Product, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Technology to deliver actionable insights.

Drive Advanced Analytics: Champion machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical techniques to optimize liquidity and revenue opportunities.

Ensure Data Integrity: Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and compliance with global regulatory standards.

Reporting & Visualization: Oversee automated MIS and business reporting; design impactful dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

Infrastructure Leadership: Guide the development of scalable analytics platforms, data pipelines, and BI environments.

Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency across reporting and analytics workflows.

Influence Through Insights: Communicate complex analytics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, driving strategic decisions.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, leadership experience and strategic decision making to drive impactful insights.
