About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Programming & Automation
    • Strong proficiency in Python in Python for automation, scripting, and problem-solving
    • Working knowledge of Ansible for automation, including playbook and role development
  • API & Integration
    • Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs
    • Ability to integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems and services
  • CI/CD & DevOps Practices
    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
    • Exposure to pipelines-as-code and SDLC automation practices
    • Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration
  • Automation & Frameworks
    • Experience building or contributing to automation frameworks or reusable components
    • Understanding of automation best practices, modular design, and scalability
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
    • Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues across code, automation scripts, and workflows
    • Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and accuracy
  • AI/GenAI Experience (Preferred)
    • exposure to GenAI concepts (LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG)
    • Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex is a plus
    • AI mind set, experience leveraging AI‑assisted tools for code development, optimization, testing, and operational efficiency.
  • UI/Tooling
    • Working knowledge on GUI-based tools or automation interfaces
  • Agile & Collaboration
    • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Communication & Personal Skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks


Job Expectations:

  • Understanding of enterprise use cases for Generative AI
  • Knowledge of responsible AI practices and ethical considerations
  • Ability to optimize AI solutions for performance and cost
  • Well versed in MLOps concepts for LLM applications
  • Staying current with rapidly evolving Gen AI technologies and best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Should be detail oriented, able to multitask 
  • Strong lead engineering skills to effectively guide teams on technical aspects.
