About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Lending Servicing Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Provide servicing activities for low to moderately complex commercial products
- Coordinate all aspects of resolving open customer service issues and interact with internal and external customers
- Provide customer service, loan and regulatory diligence and ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record
- Serve as primary liaison and work collaboratively with Sales, Legal, Control and Risk, Technology, and various Operations and company teams as necessary to progress customer-focused needs
- Review and negotiate basic loan servicing transactions, evaluate risks, and devise strategies to mitigate risks and identify procedural modifications
- Serve as an escalation point in the resolution of client issues
- Provide guidance and training to peers
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of commercial lending, loan servicing, banking operations, or financial services.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and process transaction-level information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures, controls, and service-level requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to identify discrepancies, escalate issues, and collaborate with internal business partners.
- Willingness to learn lending systems, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in commercial lending operations or loan servicing is preferred.
Job Expectations:
- Process commercial lending servicing requests accurately and within established SLAs.
- Review loan documentation and system information for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform activities such as payment processing, loan modifications, payoffs, disbursements, maintenance requests, and other servicing transactions, based on assigned responsibilities.
- Follow approved procedures, quality standards, risk controls, and escalation protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and update transactions in applicable lending and workflow systems.
- Identify missing information, processing exceptions, or discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
- Meet productivity, quality, timeliness, and compliance expectations.
- Participate in process training, cross-training, team meetings, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Support operational reporting and provide timely updates on pending, aged, or escalated requests.
- Demonstrate accountability, professional conduct, and effective collaboration across onshore and offshore teams.
- Work in a hybrid environment and provide coverage aligned with business and operational requirements.
