Our first office in Canada opened in Victoria, British Columbia in 1858; our first office in Mexico opened in 1860 and by 1900, there were 300 Wells Fargo offices throughout the country. While originally formed to meet the demand of safe and secure transport, our business has evolved to meet the changing needs of our clients.
Today in the Americas, the majority of our business is in Canada with primary lines of business Capital Finance, Equipment Finance and Commercial Distribution Finance. Our team nearly tripled with Wells Fargo’s acquisition of Commercial Distribution Finance from GE Capital in 2016. Today we have over 750 team members across Canada.
Our Latin American business has team members in Argentina, Bahamas, Chile, Columbia, Dominican Republic and Mexico.
