About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Wealth Underwriting Associate.
In this role, you will:
Ensure the efficient and timely delivery of credit services by managing, tracking, assigning, and balancing production of daily underwriting through the supervision of others
Identify opportunities for process improvements within Wealth Underwriting
Review less complex basic or tactical pre-screen credit opportunities, provide recommendations, and advise on the structure of credits, and exercise independent judgment to guide accurate preparation and submission of periodic reports
Receive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Present recommendations for achieving consistent and balanced credit culture by managing asset quality standards with growth objectives
Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues and stakeholders, including internal and external customers
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Wealth Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualification
2+years of work Experience.
Experience in pulling credit bureau reports and exposure to financial spreading using the Optimist tool.
The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as it will involve regular interaction with US‑based bankers.
Design, develop, evaluate, and monitor automation and machine learning models
Analyze large, complex datasets and deliver insights using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL
