About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant

in technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT). The Lead Business Analyst will play a critical role in the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing support of trade surveillance capabilities using the OneTick Surveillance platform. This role partners closely with Compliance, Surveillance Operations, and Technology teams to ensure effective monitoring of trading activity across multiple asset classes and alignment with regulatory expectations.

The position requires strong financial product knowledge, a solid understanding of surveillance behaviors, and demonstrated ability to perform advanced data analysis in support of risk identification and regulatory reporting.

This role serves as the business lead for OneTick surveillance initiatives across Rates (US Treasuries, IR Futures, Interest Rate Swaps), Credit, FX, SPG, and MPG products, translating regulatory requirements and Compliance risks into clear business requirements, surveillance use cases, and alert specifications. The position provides subject‑matter expertise on market abuse and manipulative trading behaviors, partners closely with Technology teams on the design and enhancement of surveillance alerts and reporting, and performs detailed data analysis to support alert validation, tuning, and issue resolution. The role supports onboarding of new products, venues, and data sources, participates in risk assessments, audits, and regulatory inquiries, and ensures surveillance outputs are accurate and regulatorily sound, while driving standardization, mentoring junior analysts, and acting as a key liaison across Business, Compliance, and Technology stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams
  • Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to companywide technology initiatives
  • Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives
  • Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions
  • Lead project or systems documentation, and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems
  • Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role within trade surveillance, compliance technology, or financial markets
  • 2+ years of experience working with OneTick Surveillance or comparable market surveillance platforms
  • 3+ years of experience with trading products and market structure across Rates, Credit, FX, SPG, and MPG

Desired Qualifications:

  • ​Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, including RFQs, orders, executions, cancellations, and venue‑specific workflows
  • Proven ability to conduct data‑driven analysis to inform surveillance logic, alert design, and risk decisions
  • Experience operating in regulated environments with exposure to audits, regulatory inquiries, or compliance reviews
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Highly analytical and detail‑oriented approach to problem solving
  • Strong execution focus with clear ownership and accountability
  • Effective collaborator across Business, Compliance, and Technology teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities
