Lead Decision Science Valuation & Pricing Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Decision Science Consultant to support Personal Loan valuation and pricing initiatives. This role will be responsible for modeling and evaluating personal loan pricing strategies and strategic initiatives, including credit approval and decline decisions, loan amount optimization, customer segmentation, and channel strategy.

A significant focus of this position will be the design, execution, and analysis of loan pricing tests to inform and optimize future pricing strategies. The successful candidate will leverage deep expertise in consumer lending and apply advanced analytical techniques to enhance customer valuation frameworks that support data-driven strategic decision-making.

This role requires a strong balance of qualitative and quantitative capabilities, along with a solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, economics, and financial valuation. In this role, you will:

  • Design, execute, monitor, and analyze pricing sensitivity tests
  • Monitor application rate trends and diagnose performance gaps
  • Develop pricing optimization recommendations and present proposals to Pricing Committee meetings
  • Conduct ongoing competitive market monitoring and benchmarking
  • Maintain a strong controlled environment, ensuring compliance and documentation standards are met
  • Partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Risk teams to drive business growth

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with consumer lending strategies
  • Experience in risk‑based pricing, credit scores, and customer segmentation
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and analytical tools including Python and SAS
  • Understanding of credit risk strategies
  • Experience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving data quality or data integrity issues across complex data environments
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field
  • Proven ability to manage recurring analytical processes independently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Experience translating and summarizing complex data and technical concepts into understandable, actionable information and recommendations to executive level audiences
  • Experience operating within a highly controlled analytics environment, ensuring documentation accuracy, audit readiness, data lineage clarity, and adherence to model governance and regulatory expectations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including strong ability to effectively evaluate and prioritize work


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
