This Audit Director position is an executive‑level role responsible for leading the Employee Operations team within Audit Practices. This leader will oversee and evolve execution of employee enablement capabilities for the Internal Audit department, including learning and development programs, skills assessment and certification support, talent acquisition programs, and risk & control management for Audit‑owned processes.
Learning and development for the department is primarily designed and delivered within Audit to meet audit‑specific capability needs, while intentionally partnering with Enterprise Learning & Development to align with enterprise standards and leverage enterprise programs, tools, and expertise when appropriate. The role partners closely with Audit leadership and enterprise stakeholders to strengthen the employee experience and ensure department readiness for evolving risks and technology modernization, including the upcoming new audit platform rollout.
In this role you will:
Oversee Audit learning program design, delivery, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring content remains current, relevant, and aligned with Audit priorities, enterprise learning standards, and regulatory expectations. Partner with Enterprise Learning & Development to leverage enterprise frameworks, platforms, and resources where beneficial.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risk themes, and enterprise learning initiatives to inform targeted capability development and training across the department.
Drive successful start and lifecycle programming that provides early career enablement, ongoing learning, and transition support to accelerate time‑to‑productivity, sustain performance, and strengthen retention. Coordinate with Enterprise Learning & Development to ensure consistency with enterprise onboarding and development practices as appropriate.
Lead or coordinate employee enablement workstreams associated with the new audit platform (e.g., Time Management, Engagement Feedback, Resource Scheduling, Skills Assessment), including change management and learning support in collaboration with enterprise technology and learning partners.
Partner with Enterprise functions to drive talent acquisition programs and external partnerships, and support onboarding and integration efforts where applicable.
Lead skills assessment and certification support capabilities, including maintaining the Audit skills inventory, executing semi‑annual assessments, analyzing turnover and skills gaps, and tracking action plans and outcomes, with alignment to applicable enterprise talent and learning processes.
Provide leadership oversight for Employee Operations risk and control accountabilities, including RCSA ownership. Lead oversight of required enterprise learning obligations, compliance tracking, and related escalations.
Lead Audit Practices communications and operational enablement activities that support engagement, information flow, and a strong sense of community across the Audit organization.
Build and maintain strong relationships across Audit, HR, Enterprise Learning & Development, technology, and governance partners; appropriately influence and challenge to protect Audit standards, independence, and regulatory expectations.
Develop and guide a culture of talent development, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the Employee Operations team.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of Audit, Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
4+ years of management or leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in audit enablement or professional practices, including learning and development and talent programs delivered in collaboration with enterprise learning & development, within a large financial institution.
Knowledge of banking operations, risk management concepts, and the ability to translate emerging risk trends into practical learning solutions.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Organizational Development, Learning Design, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent; learning or change-related certifications are also valued.
Demonstrates expert level verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across multiple levels and functions.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
