About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Java UI Software Engineer to be part of the Global Payments & Liquidity Treasury Technology organization helping to drive delivery of critical technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in architecting and designing solutions that promote reusability, scalability, efficiency, and resiliency and possess strong communication skills to articulate the proposed solutions with both technical and business partners. This role will enable the candidate to work across a horizontal set of payment products helping set payment standards across the board and alignment of the strategy towards omni channel, unified payment workflows. The ideal candidate will collaborate across Technology, Platform Support and Business partners focusing on strategic vision, AI solutions and optimization of redundant payment systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of experience in Application Development using Java and Microservices

  • 4+ years of experience using ReactJS, Redux, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript

  • 4+ years of experience using Database Technologies such as Oracle, Mongo

  • 3+ years of experience using Spring Boot

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile working environment such as Scrum or Kanban

  • 2+ years of experience in Migrating Applications to the Cloud such as OCP, Google, Azure, or PCF

  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Industry

  • A certification in Cloud a plus
