Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to support technology initiatives and contribute to the development and enhancement of software solutions.


In this role, you will:

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Line of Business and enterprise technology requests related to Observability
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communications across CIOs, Platform Heads, Business Relationship Managers, and engineering leaders
  • Gather, clarify, and prioritize requirements from business and technology partners, then channel them to the right engineering teams for delivery
  • Drive cross-Line-of-Business initiatives by coordinating planning, prioritization, governance, and execution
  • Track and communicate delivery progress, roadmap updates, and service changes to stakeholders in a clear and business-friendly way
  • Lead or support business reviews and reporting, including monthly or quarterly reviews, strategic updates, and accomplishment summaries
  • Support service adoption and go-to-market activities through enablement, product advocacy, onboarding materials, and usage/adoption communications
  • Define and report KPIs/OKRs, SLOs/SLIs, and consumption metrics to measure service performance, adoption, coverage, cost, and recovery
  • Act as a point of contact for audit, regulatory, resiliency, and availability topics tied to the service portfolio
  • Influence product direction and service roadmap by synthesizing customer feedback, operational insights, and business priorities into actionable recommendations. 


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, .NET, or JavaScript
  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications or services
  • Experience developing or consuming APIs and working with system integrations
  • Experience working in Agile teams and participating in iterative software delivery practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze root causes, and support production stability.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, or application performance tools
  • Experience supporting cloud-based, distributed, or platform engineering environments
  • Experience building automation tools, scripts, or reusable engineering solutions
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, querying, and data integration concepts
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product partners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.


Job Expectations:

  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
  • Work schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote), subject to change based on business needs
  • Relocation assistance is not available.
