About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer as part of the Wealth & Investment Management Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team building solutions for Wells Fargo Investment Institute organization. In this role you will be building out of strategic cloud complaint platforms to support various strategic business initiatives. This role requires very strong technical knowledge of Java and a solid foundation of server design methodologies. Successful applicant will help enhance, build, and deliver frameworks and business application micro services.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5 years of Java development experience

  • 5 years of UI based development (Angular, React, etc). 

  • 5 years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience

  • 5 years of Experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of DevOps tool set based continuous incremental delivery experience

  • 3+ years working Kubernetes like container technology

  • 3+ years working public cloud provider such as Azure or GCP

  • 3+ years of experience working with opensource messaging technologies on cloud such as Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise

  • 1+ years of experience working with AI assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot

  • Any experience with BI tools or report development using Jaspersoft is a plus

  • Financial Services experience preferably Wealth Management

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$143,000.00 - $224,000.00
