About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Backend Development

    • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET Core / .NET 6+

    • Expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, and RESTful services

    • Solid understanding of: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles and Enterprise design patterns

    • Experience with microservices architecture, service orchestration, and API lifecycle management

    • Proficiency in Entity Framework / EF Core, LINQ

  • Database & Data Layer

    • Strong experience with SQL Server

    • Expertise in Database design, Query optimization, and Performance tuning.

  • Front-End Development:

    • Hands-on experience with Angular (Angular 8+)

    • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Modern UI component frameworks

    • Experience integrating Angular apps with .NET Core APIs

    • Familiarity with secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)

    • Understanding of UI/UX best practices and performance optimization

  • Python (Nice to Have)

    • Working knowledge of Python for Automation and scripting, Data processing and transformation and Backend utilities and integrations

    • Ability to integrate Python capabilities within the .NET ecosystem

  • Cloud, DevOps & Tools

    • Experience with Azure cloud platform (preferred)

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (EPL-X DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.), Automated build and release processes

    • Strong experience using Git-based source control

  • AI & Productivity Tools (Must have)

    • Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot / AI-assisted development tools

    • Ability to use AI tools for Code generation and refactorin, Unit test generation, Debugging and documentation

    • Understanding of secure and responsible AI usage within enterprise standards

  • Quality, Testing & Security

    • Experience with Unit testing and integration testing, API validation

    • Knowledge of Secure coding practices, Application security fundamentals

    • Exposure to Logging, monitoring, and diagnostics tools

  • Professional Skills

    • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

    • Effective communication and collaboration abilities

    • Ability to own components/modules independently

    • Proven track record of delivering in SOW-driven engagements, meeting SLAs and deadlines

Job Expectations:

  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications using .NET Core / .NET 6+

  • Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features in an Agile environment

  • Develop responsive, high-quality Angular-based front-end applications

  • Ensure code quality through best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns

  • Optimize database performance and manage data access using EF Core and SQL Server

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

  • Contribute to application security, scalability, and reliability improvements

  • Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity and code quality
