Engineering Associate – Enterprise Systems

Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Associate within Enterprise Engineering. Enterprise Engineering covers strategic roles responsible for technology application development across the enterprise, identifies and resolves abstract, systemic, cross-functional issues impacting the effectiveness of the company’s technology capabilities, and builds support for strategies with business and technology leaders.

In this role, you will support governance, standards, and lifecycle management for network technologies and enterprise engineering solutions. You will work closely with Lines of Business (LOBs), engineering teams, and risk partners to ensure that new and existing technologies align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and operational readiness expectations.

This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in developing expertise in enterprise technology governance, release management, and network infrastructure oversight while gaining exposure to large-scale, highly regulated environments.

You will also participate in the Career Opportunities in Development and Engineering (CODE) Program. The CODE program is a two-year engineering development experience designed for individuals who are early in their technical careers. The program is intended for candidates with approximately 6 months to 2 years of hands-on engineering experience.

The CODE Program offers meaningful, real-world work combined with structured professional development, mentorship, and exposure to a broad range of technologies across the enterprise. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are eligible for promotion and continued employment, subject to business needs and performance expectations.

CODE provides:

  • Immersive onboarding and foundational technical training

  • A supportive cohort experience of peers starting their tech careers

  • Dedicated mentors and program managers who guide your development

  • Professional development, career coaching, and workshops

Wells Fargo only considers candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who do not require work visa sponsorship now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

In this role, you will:

  • Apply technical knowledge of networking concepts and coding fundamentals to support enterprise engineering solutions and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Partner with Lines of Business (LOBs) to support business application requests, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology standards and governance requirements

  • Support the structured Release Management (RM) lifecycle by assisting with planning, testing coordination, and approvals for new or updated vendor hardware and software solutions

  • Maintain and enhance the Configuration and Standards Engineering (CASE) repository by documenting certified products, supported features, and engineering standards

  • Assist with onboarding of new technologies by supporting pre-sunrise readiness activities, including validation of new applications and hardware prior to production use

  • Monitor and track vulnerability remediation efforts in collaboration with engineering and risk teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance governance across the network and infrastructure lifecycle

  • Collaborate with engineering, risk, and operations teams to ensure consistent application of enterprise standards and best practices

  • Support reporting, documentation, and tracking of engineering activities to enhance visibility and operational effectiveness

Note: This role focuses on governance, coordination, and standards oversight. It does not involve direct design or implementation of network solutions.
