About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
  • Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
  • Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in SQL scripting and Stored Procedures
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience working with Autosys or similar job scheduling tools
  • Strong knowledge of middleware technologies
  • Exposure to Shell scripting; PowerShell scripting is a plus
  • Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing tool
  • Knowledge of deployment tools like UCD (UrbanCode Deploy) and Harness
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and release management
  • Basic understanding of monitoring tools and alerting systems
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for business-critical applications
  • Monitor application health, jobs, and interfaces using tools like Autosys
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within defined SLAs
  • Perform SQL queries, data validation, and performance tuning
  • Analyze logs in Unix/Linux systems to identify root causes
  • Handle incident management, problem management, and change requests
  • Work with cross-functional teams (development, infra, middleware) for issue resolution
  • Support deployment activities using UCD/Harness
  • Create and maintain support documentation and SOPs
  • Participate in on-call support and weekend shifts as required
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of scripting automation and process improvements
  • ITIL knowledge or certification is an advantage
