Business Aligned Finance Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Aligned Finance Analyst to work in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Finance group. In this role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the CRE organization, driving financial analysis, capital strategy, and executive reporting to support business performance and decision-making.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead financial analysis and performance advisory initiatives for the CIB-CRE line of business
  • Partner with the broader finance team on capital allocation strategies, including loan and deposit growth, expense management, and RWA optimization
  • Develop forward-looking financial plans, forecasts, and strategic recommendations
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior business executives
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations for weekly reporting, monthly business reviews, and quarterly earnings preparation
  • Drive and implement finance-related strategic initiatives across the organization
  • Partner cross-functionally with CIB Finance, Investor Relations, Credit, and line-of-business teams to address key priorities and resolve complex issues
  • Build strong relationships with CRE leadership to act as a trusted advisor

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate or investment banking disciplines, including CRE industry experience
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial systems (e.g., Essbase) and emerging AI technologies (CoPilot)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including communicating in a confident and succinct manner
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while managing multiple priorities

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule from our Charlotte, NC location (550 S. Tryon St.)
