The Mid-Cap Investment Banking (MCIB) group within Corporate and Investment Banking is seeking a Securities Research Analyst at P1 level to join its Bangalore office with corporate title as Analyst

Analysts have an unparalleled opportunity to work with senior US bankers, in small project teams.

In this role, you will:

Analysts will support bankers with preparing pitch books for client meetings. Key work areas would include:

  • Prepare pitch books, industry overviews, detailed company profiles, management biographies, brokers’ outlook, share price performance, evolution of industry/peers’ valuation multiples, possible buyer/seller opportunities
  • Work on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, company/M&A screening and newsletter preparation
  • Work on work products including Shareholder Momentum, Shareholder Base, Analysis at Various Prices (AVP), Acquisition Capacity, Rating Analysis, Exchange Rate Analysis and Contribution Analysis, LBO Model
  • Work independently on complex projects and deliver high quality projects
  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders in the US

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Securities Investment research, financial services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Investment banking experience of not more than 2 years post MBA / CA (CFA certification would be an added advantage)
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong financial modeling and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Familiar with US company filings and accounting standards
  • Experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Will support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
  • Will be accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions.
  • Will be emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
