Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist within the Interest Rate Derivatives team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Operations. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

This role supports the macro derivatives trading desk by validating daily trading activity, partnering with Finance, Risk, and Ops partners to resolve trade related issues, responding to internal and external customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate end of day reporting. The primary products supported will be swaps, futures, options, structured products, and fixed income securities. The role will require contributing to process improvements in a growing and complex business.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in research and resolution of issues including identifying and resolving trade breaks across front‑to‑back processing

  • Review tactical business challenges related to complex derivative products

  • Receive direction from manager and exercise independent judgement while developing an understanding of procedures

  • Support the primary products such as swaps, futures, options, structured products, and fixed income securities

  • Contribution in the development of processes and procedures to support a growing business

  • Improve the existing infrastructure through system testing and effective project management

  • Assist trading with minimizing costs and identifying concerns that can be expected

  • A successful candidate will need to collaborate with partners that support the business in various capacities including trading, sales, technology, compliance, risk, operations, legal, and audit

  • Provide superior service while responding to inquiries from both internal and external customers as per the standards defined by Wells Fargo

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • Proficiency in financial analytics, and trading portfolio evaluation

  • Familiarity with financial products including swaps, futures, options, structured products, and fixed income securities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts

  • Proven ability to analyze issues and opportunities by synthesizing data from multiple sources and developing effective, well-reasoned solutions

  • Highly analytical with strong quantitative and numerical skills; proficient in working with spreadsheets, financial data, and business concepts

  • Ability to contribute to and improve processes, controls, and procedures in a fast-paced, growing business environment

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
