About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Relationship Support Senior Manager with Fund Finance Middle Office.

Business Relationship Support Senior Manager will provide leadership support of Corporate & Investment Banking’s middle office and loan closing teams supporting the Fund Finance line of business. Provides support to relationship management teams and other internal business partners in coordination of the loan closing process.  Acts as the primary point of contact for operational and product questions and escalation items. Partners across line of business industries to ensure consistency in process and control management.  

Duties may include proactively handling client account and/or product issues, money movement transactions and approvals, confirming source of funds, and partnering with internal teams to resolve office management on ad-hoc client inquiries. Coordinates customer onboarding, due diligence, proactive outreach, and other associated risk management matters to ensure regulatory and company requirements are met.  Manage and develop teams of individual contributors or managers handling moderate‑complexity and moderate‑risk work while driving functional strategy and performance.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and/or managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk  within Corporate & Investment Banking Lending Operations in middle office function
  • Areas of focus may include the following: Middle Office, Credit Execution, Middle Office Credit Services, Middle Office Structured Lending or other Middle Office specialty group
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers impacted by functional outcomes
  • Determine strategies and actions required to meet moderate  to high risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity
  • Identify and recommend process improvement and risk control initiatives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to meet commitments and strategic objectives
  • Develop and promote a culture of continuous talent development and performance
  • Collaborate with and influence professionals and leaders, including senior managers; interact with external customers
  • Manage the end-to-end customer experience including onboarding and extensive problem-solving
  • Participate in the identification and maximization of growth opportunities and on-site calls with Relationship Managers
  • Oversee customer operations which may include initiation and accuracy of loan documentation
  • Oversee a compliance monitoring program and evaluate the results, ensuring achievement of a satisfactory rating on all audits, working with business management to resolve issues, and address deficiencies
  • Complete all required assessments, exercises, training, and affirmations in accordance with Bank Policies and Audit requirements, including Business Continuity Planning
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions to meet objectives
  • Lead team to achieve objectives


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Business Relationship Support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Fund Finance
  • Experience with nCino and LoanIQ
  • Leadership experience including; coaching, training, and mentoring including leading other managers and complex professional teams
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline business processes, and implementing change
  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including management
  • Proven organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills, as well as the ability to influence and negotiate across functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work at the posted location in Charlotte, NC
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, at least 3 days a week working in office.
