Global Engineering Sr. Manager

About this Role:

The Senior Manager of Global Engineering serves as the senior engineering leader for Wells Fargo’s real estate portfolio, responsible for setting engineering strategy, technical standards, and governance across all occupied properties.

This role is accountable for ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of building systems through strong oversight of preventative maintenance, inspections, asset lifecycle management, and capital engineering initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute a global engineering strategy encompassing maintenance, inspections, compliance, and system reliability

  • Establish engineering standards, playbooks, and governance frameworks across the portfolio

  • Ensure alignment of engineering practices with regulatory requirements and internal policies

  • Provide senior leadership for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, controls, etc.) across office, retail, and specialized facilities

  • Oversee planning and execution of major MEP system upgrades, retrofits, and capital improvements

  • Ensure appropriate engineering involvement in capital planning and asset preservation programs

  • Lead engineering-related compliance programs, including inspections, code adherence, and testing requirements

  • Drive proactive risk management through preventative maintenance and condition-based monitoring

  • Support incident response and business continuity planning related to building systems

  • Provide oversight of engineers, technical staff, and engineering functions within FMP organizations

  • Define performance expectations and accountability for engineering service delivery

  • Partner with Critical Facilities, Technology, Sustainability, and Environmental teams

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years Management or leadership experience

  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience in commercial real estate, facilities, or critical infrastructure

Desired Qualifications

  • Deep technical expertise in building systems (HVAC, electrical, controls, etc.)

  • Strong experience with compliance, inspections, and engineering governance

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams in a large, complex organization

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification

  • Experience supporting regulated environments or financial institutions

  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms and engineering analytics

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted engineering advisor and subject matter expert within complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong capability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights for executive and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience establishing and driving engineering standards, governance, and best practices across decentralized or matrixed organizations.

  • Proven ability to foster a proactive, risk-aware engineering culture focused on reliability, compliance, and operational excellence.

  • Experience identifying and implementing engineering solutions that improve asset performance, reliability, and operational continuity.

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, inspection processes, and compliance management within large-scale portfolios.

  • Demonstrated success creating consistent engineering standards, processes, and performance expectations across multiple locations or business units.

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across Engineering, Property Management, Facilities Management Providers (FMPs), and other operational teams.

  • Ability to travel 30% of the time

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$139,000.00 - $217,000.00
