About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant.
In this role, you will:
Participate in less complex analysis and modeling initiatives, and identify opportunity for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation improvements within Risk Management
Review and analyze programing models to extract data, and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling, and exercise independent judgment to guide new and existing projects with medium risk deliverables
Coordinate and consolidate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for more experienced management
Present recommendations for resolving data reconciliation, production, and database issues
Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk projects, and regulatory requests
Collaborate and consult with peers, managers, experienced managers, compliance, including various lines of business
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- BI & Data Platforms: Experience with Microsoft Fabric, semantic modeling, SQL, Power BI, and reusable analytics assets.
- Data Architecture: Ability to support scalable data solutions for enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with Risk and Technology partners.
- Risk Knowledge: Familiarity with Capital Markets, risk data, regulatory context, and risk reporting preferred.
Job Expectations
- Self-Service BI Support: Contribute to scalable self-service BI solutions that provide timely, actionable risk insights through automation and reusable data assets.
- Curated Data & Semantic Layers: Develop governed datasets, semantic models, KPIs, and business data definitions to support consistent reporting.
- Data Consolidation & Quality: Help transform complex source data into business-ready datasets that improve integrity, reduce redundancy, and limit manual extraction.
- Data Consumption Solutions: Support data access patterns and integration of curated datasets with BI tools, semantic models, and analytics platforms.
- Technology Collaboration: Work with Technology teams on data pipelines, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse solutions, and governed data integration flows.
- Adoption & Enablement: Support adoption of self-service analytics by documenting standards and sharing best practices.
- Documentation & Governance: Prepare specifications, mapping logic, test scenarios, and documentation to support delivery quality and governance.
