Lead Product Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Product Owner) to drive end-to-end product ownership and delivery execution for large scrum teams supporting Investment Risk Implementation and strategy capabilities within Investment Solutions (IS), part of the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Chief Product Office.

This role provides dedicated senior-level product ownership across the tools, data, and workflows that enable investment risk implementation, portfolio risk oversight, and strategic execution. The Product Owner ensures consistent prioritization, strong decision-making, and aligned roadmap delivery across a complex, multi-stakeholder ecosystem spanning risk methodology implementation, investment data, platform controls, and strategic risk initiatives.

This is a high-autonomy, execution-focused role where you will own roadmap definition, feature delivery, and cross-functional coordination across Business, Technology, and Operations. As the organization continues to flatten, this role operates as a de facto stream lead, strengthening execution discipline and reducing reliance on management layers.

This position plays a key role in advancing the Investment Risk Implementation roadmap, strengthening risk-aligned delivery, data-driven controls, and scalable implementation capabilities that support Investment Solutions strategy and future-state operating models.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the Product Owner for one or more Investment Solutions scrum teams focused on Investment Risk Implementation and strategy, with end-to-end accountability for product management and delivery outcomes
  • Define and execute product vision, roadmap, and priorities for investment risk implementation capabilities, risk data workflows, platform controls, and strategic risk initiatives
  • Own backlog management across risk implementation capabilities, ensuring clear requirements, defined scope, and alignment to the broader IS strategic direction
  • Lead release planning, dependency management, and open issue governance across integrated platforms supporting risk data, implementation workflows, controls, and downstream investment solutions capabilities
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Investment Risk, Portfolio Strategy, Technology, Operations, and control partners without requiring escalation
  • Ensure consistent execution standards, prioritization practices, and delivery cadence across scrum teams supporting investment risk implementation and strategy workflows
  • Resolve complex product and delivery challenges at the intersection of investment risk requirements, data quality, implementation logic, platform controls, and strategic business outcomes
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy as a decision-maker and execution leader within a flattened operating model
  • Partner with stakeholders, scrum masters, and delivery teams to maintain momentum and execution quality
  • Advance the platform roadmap by incorporating data-driven and automation-enabled capabilities that improve risk implementation accuracy, control effectiveness, workflow efficiency, and strategic decision support
  • Ensure adherence to risk, control, compliance, and regulatory standards across all product management activities

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience serving as Product Owner for large, complex scrum teams with end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle, including roadmap definition, backlog prioritization, feature delivery, and execution outcomes
  • Experience operating across multi-team or platform-level ecosystems supporting integrated investment risk, data, controls, and strategy workflows rather than single applications
  • Strong track record of release planning, dependency coordination, and issue governance across complex, cross-team environments
  • Experience driving execution across business, technology, and operations teams, partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain delivery momentum in environments with competing priorities, evolving risk requirements, data dependencies, and regulatory constraints
  • Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor in lean, flattened organizations, absorbing coordination, prioritization, and execution responsibilities typically handled at the management layer
  • Experience making independent product and delivery trade-offs, balancing business needs, technical constraints, data quality considerations, and risk
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder dynamics across investment risk, portfolio strategy, technology, operations, and control partners and align competing priorities into clear roadmap and execution plans without escalation
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on clarity, prioritization, and outcome-driven alignment with senior investment risk, portfolio strategy, and business leadership
  • Track record of improving execution discipline, team accountability, and delivery consistency across Agile teams
  • Experience in wealth management, investment risk, portfolio management, investment operations, or financial services — with familiarity with how risk capabilities support investment strategy and portfolio oversight
  • Understanding of investment risk workflows, risk methodology implementation, portfolio risk oversight, and strategy execution, with the ability to connect product decisions to risk management effectiveness and business outcomes
  • Familiarity with investment risk platforms, portfolio analytics tools, data controls, risk reporting capabilities, or investment data infrastructure
  • Exposure to or experience incorporating automation, analytics, or AI-driven capabilities into product roadmaps, including data quality monitoring, risk insights, workflow optimization, or decision support
  • Ability to translate risk, data, automation, and strategy concepts into practical product features and measurable business value, contributing to platform evolution beyond near-term delivery

  • Hybrid Work Schedule
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • Travel 5%
