You are accountable for the operational health, delivery performance, and agile maturity of your teams. You are responsible for ensuring that teams deliver consistently, predictably, and in alignment with enterprise standards and expectations. You will work closely with Product Owners and Engineering Managers, maintaining structured, recurring engagements to ensure alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Oversee systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
  • Partner with discipline managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards

  • Train other Scrum Masters and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
  • Ensure that team Jira boards are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect the true state of work. Actively manage flow, monitor work-in-progress limits, and ensure backlog readiness. Correct issues that compromise board accuracy, such as missing or inaccurate story points, unrefined backlog items, or incomplete sprint planning.
  • Monitor and interpret delivery metrics such as velocity, throughput, and cycle time.
  • Take ownership of improvement actions and demonstrate measurable progress.
  • Lead agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement.

  • Stay current on enterprise-wide expectations, including those set by PRICE. Apply these standards consistently and work across teams to ensure alignment.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the technology supported by the team to become a more effective Lead Scrum Master. This understanding enables better identification of risks, more meaningful support of delivery activities, and more proactive resolution of impediments. It also positions the Scrum Master to take on work when appropriate and contribute more deeply to the team’s success.
