About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant (Vice President) within the Product Risk Management & Enablement team of Wells Fargo Auto, a line of business within the Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) organization. This role serves as a key risk management partner to the auto Product, Analytics and Digital Innovation (PADI) organization, leading initiatives that strengthen controls, enhance risk management practices, and support the successful delivery of business and product strategies.

This highly visible role offers the opportunity to work across business, risk, compliance, and technology functions to deliver sustainable solutions that reduce risk, strengthen governance, and improve operational efficiency. The successful candidate will lead efforts to assess and enhance the control environment while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate activities, and support effective risk management throughout the product lifecycle. This individual will help shape the risk and control framework for PADI, supporting innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to strategize, plan, and execute complex remediation, control enhancement, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Perform assessments using fact-finding, data analysis, and root cause evaluation to identify risks, assess control effectiveness, and develop sustainable solutions and recommendations.

  • Drive the design and implementation of effective controls that mitigate risk exposure, improve operational resiliency, and create efficiencies where appropriate.

  • Lead efforts to identify, prioritize, and remediate process gaps while ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards and business objectives.

  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring a strong understanding of business processes, products, and risk management principles.

  • Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and implementation of solutions by influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of the organization.

  • Collaborate and consult with Business Execution team members and leaders to drive strategic initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Influence, guide, and mentor less experienced Strategy and Execution team members while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead and manage complex projects, including identification of root causes, assessment of current-state processes, design of future-state solutions, and management of project deliverables and resources.

  • Experience identifying, assessing, managing, and remediating operational, compliance, or product-related risks within complex or highly regulated business environments.

  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks, control design principles, and control effectiveness assessments.

  • Experience driving process improvement, operational efficiency, or control automation initiatives.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and complex environment.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, navigate ambiguity, and apply creative problem-solving techniques.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information effectively to audiences at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating across business, risk, compliance, technology, and functional teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, evaluate risks, and provide actionable recommendations


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
