About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Senior Manager to lead the EMEA Foreign Exchange, Futures Commission Merchant and International Collateral Management Operations within the Corporate & Investment Banking Operations organisation. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical operations functions supporting front-office activity, risk management, controls, process improvement and business growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with business partners, Operations leadership and global functional leads to ensure processes, procedures, systems and controls are effective, globally aligned and scalable. The role will focus on managing high-performing teams, strengthening the control environment, reducing manual touchpoints, driving automation, improving client experience and overseeing issue management for the relevant operations functions.

In this role, you will:
Provide leadership and support to EMEA CIB and Lending Operations across Foreign Exchange, FCM and International Collateral Management activities.
Lead and develop a best-in-class operations team that supports business growth objectives while delivering a strong client experience.
Manage operational risk by ensuring processes, procedures and controls are clearly defined, consistently followed and continuously improved.
Build and maintain a motivated, cross-trained and resilient team with appropriate coverage, capability and capacity to support business needs.
Maintain awareness of the regional regulatory landscape and its impact on operational processes, controls and reporting obligations.
Partner with global CIB Operations leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to drive innovation, reduce cost, reduce manual processing and improve operational effectiveness.
Serve as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders across the business, Operations, Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal and Technology.
Support timely and accurate trade confirmation, settlement and post-trade activity originated by sales and trading, escalating issues as appropriate.
Lead transformational change initiatives with clear execution discipline, strong stakeholder engagement and measurable outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Established experience in capital markets, operations or a related financial services environment.
Proven track record of people management or leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Product and business knowledge
Strong knowledge of Foreign Exchange products, including spot, forwards, swaps, non-deliverable forwards, options, window forwards, novations, net present value, CLS processes, collateral calls and dispute management.
Knowledge of Futures and Options products and services, including relevant risks, controls and end-to-end trade lifecycle processes.
Understanding of trade capture, affirmation, confirmation, settlement, cancellation, correction, amendment, post-settlement processes, collateral calls and dispute management.
Familiarity with confirmation matching and payment processes and platforms such as FXall, GTSS, Misys, Omgeo/CTM Alert, Bloomberg CMS and CLS Browse.
Experience operating in a global follow-the-sun support model.
Risk management and controls
Strong understanding of operational risk, market risk and the risk implications of trade modification after settlement.
Ability to raise issues confidently, escalate early and provide constructive challenge independently.
Experience applying escalation policies, control frameworks and governance protocols in a regulated environment.
Process improvement and transformation
Proven experience improving processes, automating controls and delivering transformational change.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders, execute strategic initiatives and deliver measurable improvements across complex operations environments.
Ability to identify inefficiencies, streamline business processes and implement sustainable change.
Ability to translate complex technical or operational requirements into clear, actionable requests for information and collaboration.
Ability to incorporate multiple data sources into practical strategies and operating processes.
Leadership and people management
Ability to positively influence, motivate and lead diverse teams in shift-based, decentralised and geographically dispersed environments.
Ability to lead strategic initiatives, collaborate across a large organisation and manage competing priorities.
Ability to work effectively across organisational levels where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are essential.
