About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Process Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Develop and lead redesign initiatives that encompass analyses and future state redesigns
- Manage assigned complex initiatives involving multiple business process segments to identify risks
- Complete and lead integrated process analyses, identifying procedural and control deficiencies, opportunities, and recommending solutions
- Consult with team to understand, influence, adapt research, and create alternatives for consideration, drive results, and bring issues to resolution
- Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
- Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal customers
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Process Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in Process Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and prioritize high-value AI-enabled transformation opportunities across complex operational processes, leveraging Process Excellence methodologies and data-driven decision making.
- Working knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and enterprise AI applications, with the ability to translate emerging capabilities into scalable business solutions.
- Experience applying AI-enabled approaches for process analysis, knowledge management, document intelligence, summarization, classification, root cause analysis, and operational decision support.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, structured output design, knowledge retrieval frameworks, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts, and AI-assisted research methodologies.
- Experience designing future-state business processes that incorporate AI, intelligent automation, workflow orchestration, and human-in-the-loop controls to improve efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.
- Ability to evaluate AI solutions for feasibility, business value, data readiness, scalability, risk, and operational impact, and develop compelling business cases supported by measurable benefits and implementation roadmaps.
- Experience defining governance, controls, evaluation frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies for AI-enabled processes, including considerations related to model output quality, explainability, privacy, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to partner effectively with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Data Management, and Product teams to influence adoption and drive the delivery of AI-enabled process transformation initiatives.
- Professional certifications, advanced training, or hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, Process Mining, Advanced Analytics, or related digital transformation disciplines.
