Associates contribute to the Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets team with the origination, structuring, underwriting and syndicating of various debt securities for large corporate clients with predominantly investment grade ratings. The IG DCM product suite includes revolving credit facilities, term loans and bridge facilities, senior and subordinated notes in the institutional and retail markets across various currencies, USD hybrids, commercial paper, debt private placements and brokered CDs. Associates on the team contribute to the team’s pitchbooks, pricing requests, transaction management and execution for various deals, and support client requests with critical thinking and thoughtful capital structure analysis.


In this role, you will:

  • Assist in pitching and executing capital markets debt transactions (ie primarily publicly-traded bonds and other debt securities)
  • Participate in analyzing companies and their Capital Structure
  • Make recommendations to clients
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within Investment Banking Program
  • Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Take ownership of client deliverables and coordinate with your team to execute
  • Interact with internal and external customers


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with investment grade debt capital markets
  • 2+ years of capital markets experience                    
  • 2+ years of financial services industry experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance; MBA or CFA a plus
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results

  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
