About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams
  • Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to companywide technology initiatives
  • Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives
  • Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions
  • Lead project or systems documentation, and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems
  • Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Architecture Review Governance (Process Refinement)

  • Evaluate and refine the end-to-end architecture review governance process to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Define clear intake, review, and approval workflows for architecture submissions
  • Establish standardized templates, checklists, and review criteria
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops from stakeholders and review boards
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and compliance requirements.

Metrics Definition & Tracking

  • Define KPIs and success metrics for architecture reviews (e.g., cycle time, throughput, SLA adherence, defect leakage)
  • Develop a structured approach for capturing and tracking metrics across all reviews
  • Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Establish reporting cadence and governance for metric reviews


Job Expectations:

Operational Oversight (Day-to-Day Scheduling & Coordination)

  • Manage and oversee architecture review scheduling, ensuring optimal utilization of review boards
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize and align review timelines
  • Monitor pipeline of upcoming reviews and proactively address bottlenecks
  • Ensure timely communication of schedules, decisions, and outcomes
  • Jira Workflow & Reporting

  • Leverage Jira to manage architecture review lifecycle (intake, review, approval, closure)
  • Design and maintain Jira workflows aligned to governance processes
  • Create and manage Jira dashboards for real-time visibility into review status and metrics
  • Generate periodic reports from Jira for leadership and stakeholders

Status Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular status updates on architecture review pipeline, metrics, and risks.
  • Highlight key issues, dependencies, and escalation items Prepare executive-level summaries and detailed operational reports
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and alignment across teams
