The Structured Lending Operations team is a global operations group enabling execution and servicing across a diverse set of asset-based lending products. Supporting the Structured Products Group (SPG), Warehouse Lending, Commercial Mortgage Loan & Securities Finance (CMLSF), and Fund Finance Group (FFG), the team brings consistency and control to complex, high-value transactions.

Across the lending lifecycle, Structured Lending Operations drives deal execution, loan onboarding, funding, collateral management, and ongoing servicing—ensuring data accuracy, efficient money movement, and strong control discipline. The team provides greater visibility and ownership through the closing process, strengthening end-to-end execution for the business and clients.

Wells Fargo is seeking a Wholesale Lending Operations Senior Manager for its Structured Products Group (“SPG”) Deal Execution & Administration (“DEA”).  The successful candidate will help streamline execution, strengthen operational oversight, and improve coordination across key stakeholders to support the team's strategic and business objectives. Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Deal Execution & Administration professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of DEA activities for lending and securitization transactions, providing strategic and tactical guidance throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Manage portfolio operations, including pipeline reporting, fee tracking, documentation status, system updates, and post-closing activities.
  • Partner closely with SPG Origination, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Middle Office teams to support transaction execution and client servicing.
  • Ensure the timely completion of AML/KYC, customer due diligence, onboarding, and regulatory requirements for new and existing client relationships.
  • Maintain data integrity and governance standards across deal management platforms and reporting systems.
  • Lead complex business initiatives, manage large client portfolios, and support strategic objectives for the SPG Banking business.
  • Oversee audit readiness and compliance monitoring activities, ensuring adherence to credit, operational, regulatory, financial crimes, and risk management requirements.
  • Drive process improvement, operational efficiency, and risk control enhancements through the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Manage client relationship support functions, serving as an escalation point for complex issues and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
  • Make decisions and resolve business, operational, and compliance-related issues to achieve team and organizational objectives.
  • Allocate team resources effectively while supporting talent acquisition, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Corporate or Commercial Banking credit/loan operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years deep expertise deal execution/administration in structured finance, securitization, lending, or capital markets transaction execution.
  • 3+ years proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing teams while driving accountability and performance.
  • Strong operational management skills, including pipeline oversight, portfolio management, documentation, data governance, and process optimization.
  • Experience partnering with front office, operations, compliance, risk, legal, and middle office stakeholders to support complex transactions and client relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AML/KYC, customer due diligence, regulatory compliance, audit management, and operational risk controls.
  • Ability to lead large-scale initiatives, oversee complex portfolios, and drive strategic business objectives across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong client relationship and problem-solving skills, with experience managing onboarding, implementation, and ongoing relationship support.
  • Experience developing policies, improving controls, allocating resources, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Proficiency with loan origination, CRM, and workflow management systems such as Salesforce, nCino, TRACS, Documentum, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and business partners.
