About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance Manager


In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of financial advisors on diverse and complex business groups regarding matters related to financial data forecasting of financial metrics, operating and strategic reviews
  • Ensure efficient and effective execution of finance strategy based on financial research and economic research
  • Develop strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning
  • Recommend opportunities to more experienced management on product pricing, portfolio performance, key metrics forecasting, closing data and validation
  • Make decisions on framework to deliver key forecasting projections as well as management of financial reporting
  • Maintain effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards
  • Lead implementation of complex projects impacting one or more lines of business
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives to ensure compliance and manage risk
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Finance
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Finance experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, reporting, forecasting,  or similar fields
  • CA/MBA preferred qualification with FPA experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of Essbase and financial reporting systems and applications including Tools knowledge on Power BI and new aged AI knowledge
  • Strong technical and visualization skills (particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in creating high quality presentations suitable for executive management
  • Understanding of financial analysis, financial statements, and key processes in financial services companies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy - proven ability to produce quality results timely
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to complete data investigations and summarize findings in a clear and meaningful way
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to summarize findings into concise points geared towards the audience
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain key relationships and partner with team members and senior executives
  • Demonstrated success in a matrixed environment or in cross-functional role(s)
  • Proven ability to prioritize, stay organized, and bring tasks to complete closure with minimal supervision
  •  Independent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making
  • Experience data management tools (Alteryx, VBA, Python, R, SQL)
  • Good hands on BI reporting experience preferably in Power BI and Tableau
  • Understanding of applications, querying techniques and nimble in learning technologies
  •  Experience performing data analysis
  •  Experience with finance technology-enabled data solutions
  • Some project leadership experience including ability to facilitate project and process improvements across a large organization, or change management experience
  •  Experience within the banking industry is preferred


Job Expectations:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of executive management reports, providing insightful analysis of financial performance, key business drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Lead the review and analysis of regulatory reporting deliverables, including FR Y-14Q/Y-14A submissions, SEC submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory and internal governance requirements.
  • Lead and actively contribute to high-impact enterprise-wide initiatives, including Performance Share Award (PSA) payout analysis for executives, goodwill impairment assessments, peer analysis, Firm valuations under stress scenarios (CCAR), and strategic planning activities.
  • Partner with senior Finance and business leaders to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, resource allocation, and business performance management.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis processes to support enterprise and line-of-business objectives.
  • Lead complex ad hoc analyses and business case evaluations to support executive management requests and strategic initiatives.
  • Champion finance transformation initiatives by defining business requirements, translating complex finance needs into technology solutions, and serving as a key liaison between Finance, Technology, and Data teams.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve reporting consistency through automation and digital enablement.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with internal control frameworks, accounting policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate across Finance and business functions to enhance data governance, strengthen process linkages, and drive enterprise-wide reporting consistency.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and recommendations, effectively communicating complex financial concepts, business unit reviews and strategic insights to senior leadership.
