About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Information Security Senior Manager (Identity & Access Management) to drive the strategic direction, operational excellence, and business alignment of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) function. This leader serves as a critical bridge between technology, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders, ensuring IAM capabilities effectively protect the enterprise while enabling business growth and transformation. The successful candidate will possess the leadership presence, accountability, and technical acumen to navigate highly complex security and operational challenges, driving issues from identification through resolution across multiple organizations and senior leadership levels. This Information Security Senior Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing IAM operational strategy, translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes, and influencing decisions across diverse stakeholder groups.

This role requires a proven ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams through large-scale incidents, enterprise initiatives, and transformational programs while maintaining a relentless focus on risk management, customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The leader must be comfortable operating in highly technical environments, confidently engaging with senior engineers, architects, cybersecurity leaders, and executive stakeholders to build alignment, establish accountability, and achieve measurable results. This individual will lead and develop a high-performing team of security professionals, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, operational discipline, and talent development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Define and execute the strategic vision and operating model for IAM operations, governance, and service delivery

  • Lead resolution of highly complex technical, operational, and risk-related issues requiring coordination across multiple technology and business organizations

  • Translate complex security, engineering, and operational concepts into actionable business strategies and executive-level decisions

  • Establish and drive operational excellence through data-driven performance management, risk mitigation, process optimization, and continuous improvement

  • Build trusted partnerships with business leaders, technology executives, engineering teams, Risk, Audit, and Compliance functions

  • Influence and lead through ambiguity in large, matrixed organizations while holding teams accountable for commitments and outcomes

  • Drive enterprise-wide IAM initiatives, including regulatory remediation, technology modernization, automation, resiliency, and control effectiveness programs

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for significant incidents, service disruptions, and emerging security risks

  • Develop organizational capabilities by attracting, coaching, and retaining top talent while creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution

  • Effectively challenge assumptions, resolve conflict, and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders, including highly technical engineering teams and senior executives 

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence and lead at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ownership mentality and a track record of delivering results in highly complex and highly regulated environments

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess situations, establish priorities, and mobilize teams toward resolution

  • Strong strategic thinking combined with operational execution discipline

  • Ability to balance technical depth, business acumen, customer focus, and risk management

  • Proven success leading large-scale transformations, operational improvements, and organizational change initiatives

  • Confidence and credibility to engage constructively with senior engineering leaders, architects, and cybersecurity experts while driving accountability and outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 6+ years of experience in operations management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Identity Access Management experience preferred

  • 3+ years of Technology or Business controls experience

  • 3+ years related work experience in financial industry operations or systems.

  • Strong understanding of IAM frameworks, identity governance, and security best practices.

  • Experience with IAM technologies such as Saviynt, Microsoft Azure AD, CyberArk, Okta, or similar platforms.

  • Experience with authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP) and compliance frameworks.

  • Experience leading complex, cross functional initiatives across multiple organizational departments/divisions to successful outcomes

  • Proven ability to conceptualize, drive and deliver multiple concurrent projects on time

  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant information security professional certifications.

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule - ability to work in office

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

  • Ability to travel for business up to 10%

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$159,000.00 - $254,000.00
