The Strategic Initiatives Consultant will help shape and execute the highest-priority initiatives within our Merchant Acquiring business. In this e role, you will partner closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, evaluate strategic options, and drive initiatives that support both near-term objectives and long-term business goals. As a trusted advisor, will lead the analysis and resolution of complex business challenges, develop actionable strategies, and oversee cross-functional execution from concept through implementation. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, project leadership, and business execution, with accountability for delivering measurable outcomes across the organization.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead and support complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance strategic priorities across Merchant Services.

  • Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute initiatives that improve business performance, client experience, operational effectiveness, and organizational outcomes.

  • Analyze business performance, market trends, operational metrics, and strategic opportunities to develop actionable recommendations.

  • Coordinate efforts across multiple lines of business and support functions to align stakeholders, manage dependencies, and resolve issues.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance execution while maintaining strong risk and control disciplines.

  • Develop executive-level presentations, board materials, business reviews, strategic narratives, and communications for senior leadership audiences.

  • Transform complex data and business insights into clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations that support executive decision-making.

  • Support business planning, operating reviews, organizational initiatives, and special projects across Merchant Services.

  • Monitor progress against strategic objectives and key performance indicators, identifying risks and recommending actions to achieve desired outcomes.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Strategy, Management Consulting, Business Transformation, Program Management, Strategic Planning, or related experience, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

  • Experience within Merchant Services, Payments, Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech.

  • Experience leading and executing complex cross-functional initiatives within a large, matrixed organization.

  • Strong project management, problem-solving, organizational, and execution skills.

  • Experience supporting strategic planning, business execution, business transformation, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.

  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience evaluating business performance and operational metrics.

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information and develop recommendations for leadership.

  • Knowledge of the payments ecosystem, merchant acquiring, payment acceptance solutions, and emerging payment technologies.

  • Experience building executive dashboards, scorecards, and leadership reporting.

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts through compelling storytelling, data visualization, and executive-ready presentations.

  • Experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams in highly visible strategic initiatives.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Advanced PowerPoint and executive presentation development capabilities, including the ability to create polished, concise, and impactful materials for senior leaders.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
