CPG Tech Lead Software Engineer S/4 HANA BDC and SAC

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer with expertise in SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to join the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) Technology team within COO Technology, supporting the Corporate Properties Group (CPG).

This role is ideal for a hands-on SAP data and analytics professional who is passionate about designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data integration, warehousing, reporting, and analytics solutions. The successful candidate will help deliver trusted data products and modern analytics capabilities that enable strategic decision-making across the organization.

As part of a multi-year SAP transformation initiative, this individual will play a key role in modernizing Wells Fargo's data landscape by helping drive the migration from SAP ECC and legacy BW environments to SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Data Cloud, and modern cloud analytics platforms. The role requires strong expertise in SAP data modeling, integration, reporting, planning, and cloud-based analytics, along with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, business-focused solutions.

In this role, you will:

Support the following SAP data and analytics platforms:

SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC)

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) solutions that enable enterprise analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
• Build and manage scalable data products, integration pipelines, and semantic models within the BDC ecosystem.
• Integrate SAP and non-SAP data sources to create a unified, business-ready data foundation.
• Optimize data ingestion, transformation, governance, and performance to ensure reliable and efficient data operations.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define data architecture, analytics strategies, and solution roadmaps.

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Design and develop interactive dashboards, stories, applications, and planning models within SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Deliver executive reporting, KPI dashboards, scorecards, and self-service analytics solutions.
• Build planning, forecasting, budgeting, and predictive analytics capabilities to support business objectives.
• Integrate SAC with SAP Business Data Cloud, BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, and external data sources.
• Implement and maintain security frameworks, user roles, and data access controls.
• Continuously optimize report performance, usability, and overall user experience.

Collaboration & Governance

• Collaborate with business partners to gather, analyze, and translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Promote adherence to SAP best practices, data governance standards, security controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in solution architecture reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support Agile delivery methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the data and analytics landscape.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of hands-on experience across SAP's data and analytics ecosystem, including SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP S/4HANA.
• 5+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, implementation, lifecycle management, upgrades, and platform modernization initiatives.
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• 3+ years of experience designing and engineering cloud-based enterprise solutions leveraging RISE with SAP and SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
• 3+ years of experience with SAP Data Intelligence and SAP Integration Suite for enterprise data integration, orchestration, and connectivity.

Desired Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA data modeling, data warehousing, and performance optimization for enterprise-scale analytics and reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, ETL/ELT frameworks, data transformation techniques, and analytics best practices.
• Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP applications, data sources, and platforms across complex enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving within large-scale data ecosystems.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data models, extraction frameworks, and enterprise data management practices.
• Experience with cloud-native and container-based platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations, microservices architectures, API-first solutions, and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Proven ability to lead technology delivery, build stakeholder relationships, and influence cross-functional teams in large enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting SAP transformation initiatives, including SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations, BW modernization to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), data migration, reconciliation, parallel-run strategies, and domain-oriented data product architectures.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning, Agile delivery methodologies, financial services environments, and SAP certifications in SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, or SAP HANA; demonstrated commitment to delivering scalable, high-quality analytics solutions and driving data-driven innovation.
