About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a CIB Lending Operations Middle Office Specialist to join our FIG & Banks Middle Office Team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Lending Operations (CIBLO). Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a critical intermediary between the front office and back office during the lending origination and trading process
  • Participate in low‑ to moderately complex initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities within Corporate & Investment Banking Lending Operations in middle office function
  • Execute credit requests and enter data across loan and operating exposure products; onboard clients and set up legal entities in applicable systems; review documentation and complete checklists; and coordinate booking, funding, and collateral requirements
  • Review credit approvals and legal documentation to support system setup; complete regulatory and compliance steps (e.g., screenings and KYC confirmation)
  • Partner with loan operations to support closing and funding; identify issues and escalate exceptions as appropriate
  • Review and analyze basic business, operational, or technical assignments requiring research and evaluation of alternatives
  • Present recommendations to resolve low‑ to moderately complex situations
  • Exercise independent judgment to support medium‑risk deliverables
  • Apply growing expertise in functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of credit operations, loan operations, or deal support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting lending operations, transaction processing, or workflow coordination
  • Corporate & Investment Banking or commercial lending operations experience
  • Experience in Middle Office, Loan Closing, Loan Servicing, Agency Services, or Syndicated Lending
  • Experience reviewing credit agreements, loan documentation, or related legal documents
  • Experience working with front office, credit, risk, legal, compliance, or operations partners
  • Experience researching operational issues, resolving routine exceptions, and escalating when appropriate
  • Experience with Loan IQ (LIQ), nCino, or similar lending platforms
  • Working knowledge of lending processes, operational risk, controls, or regulatory requirements
  • Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy, and effective communication skills

Pay Range
 


Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$28.85 - $48.08
