Securities Operations Associate - Client Onboarding

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Associate to join our Global Operations team. In this role, you will support key securities operations activities, including client onboarding and account maintenance, to help deliver efficient, accurate, and customer-focused services. In this role, you will:

• Participate in low-complexity securities operations activities across the trade lifecycle, following established procedures and controls
• Review routine operational issues, policies, and procedures for which solutions can be identified using standard practices
• Develop knowledge of securities operations functions, policies, and procedures while completing assigned work with guidance from managers or experienced colleagues
• Support operational processes such as client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding, custodial operations, securities settlements, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation
• Gather information and perform basic research and analysis to support the resolution of operational issues
• Monitor daily securities and cash-related activities and help ensure assigned work is completed accurately and on time
• Assist in resolving low-complexity escalated issues within your area of responsibility, escalating matters when additional guidance is required
• Review time-sensitive documents and transaction requests, identify routine business risks, and support customer service and control requirements
• Collaborate with peers, managers, business partners, and internal or external customers to exchange information, resolve routine issues, and support team goals
• Support projects, process improvements, and the implementation of new or revised securities operations procedures

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ months of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education
• 6+ months of experience supporting client onboarding, including account setup, documentation review, and client account maintenance activities
• 6+ months of experience in account maintenance, including processing account updates, validating information, and ensuring compliance with established procedures

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification with automation and workflow tools such as Alteryx or Xceptor, including the ability to support operational efficiency, data validation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot and their application in data analysis, process automation, documentation, and operational support activities.

Job Expectations

• Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
• Flexibility to work either the 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM IST shift or the 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST shift based on business needs.
