Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant, Merchant Services

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant to drive strategic initiatives and enterprise change management across the Commercial Banking (CB) and Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Merchant Services organization.

This highly visible role serves as the central point of coordination between Sales, Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, and other key business partners to ensure strategic initiatives are successfully executed from concept through implementation and ongoing optimization. The individual will play a critical role in advancing growth objectives, managing business transformation efforts, and enhancing operational effectiveness across the Merchant Services business.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive portfolio growth and profitability through strategic client management, contract renewals, expansion opportunities, and new business acquisition within an assigned portfolio.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the head of CB/CIB Business Management by leveraging deep payments industry expertise and a consultative approach to identify and deliver growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to enterprise revenue objectives by achieving annual business growth targets while maintaining profitability goals.
  • Strengthen and expand existing client relationships through proactive engagement, exceptional service, and the identification of incremental revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across internal teams through ongoing collaboration, communication, and alignment on client strategies.
  • Apply a strategic, consultative sales approach to understand business objectives.
  • Lead and deliver executive-level presentations, providing strategic insights, financial analysis, and recommendations to support business expansion.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to proactively address and resolve complex issues, escalations, and business challenges while protecting relationships and business interests.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that enhance client satisfaction, support business objectives, and drive long-term portfolio growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:

  • Experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Merchant Services, Payments,  or related financial services environments, with demonstrated success driving business execution and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience within Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Treasury Management, Payments, or broader Financial Services organizations preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple large-scale, cross-functional initiatives simultaneously within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing business change intake, prioritization, impact assessments, and organizational readiness activities to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
  • Strong expertise in developing and delivering executive-level performance reporting, sales analytics, KPI dashboards, and campaign effectiveness insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across all levels of an organization, including senior and executive leadership.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Jira, and other enterprise planning platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and actionable documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with a proven ability to drive execution and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and delivering results with a high degree of accountability and ownership.
