About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist within the Agency Middle Office team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Operations. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsibilities include verifying trades, market data capture, P/L risk reporting, and numerous daily reconciliations

  • Be involved with daily activities of the various Cash (U.S. Treasury, Financing, Agency) trading desks

  • Work closely with traders, Finance, Compliance, Operations, Market Risk, and other groups which support the trading business

  • Understand and manage the trade process of the various related systems, regulatory reporting of trades (TRACE), assisting traders with P/L and risk issues

  • Assisting operations to resolve any discrepancies related to the respective products

  • Review new and amended trades, cash payments, customer pricing, collateral management, credit, and general ledger reconciliation issues

  • Provide information to managers and the Capital Markets Middle Office

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Services and or related experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions, products, and industry

  • Knowledge and understanding of Fixed Income pricing and risk are strongly desired

  • Experience with trading systems such as Catalyst, or Calypso

  • Series 7, 63 or 99 are strongly desired but not required

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and able to learn new systems quickly

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills, deadline oriented and productive in complex situations

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
