About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Trader to join our Wealth & Investment Management trading team. This role will support Investment Managers, Fund Managers, and Financial Consultants by assisting with securities trading activity for client accounts, with a primary focus on fixed income trading.
The Securities Trader evaluates market conditions, supports trade execution, and ensures trading activity is completed accurately and in alignment with regulatory and documentation requirements. This position is well suited for a professional with experience in fixed income markets, managed funds trading, municipal securities, capital markets operations, and trading platforms such as Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb, and/or SEI.
Please note: This is not a broker/dealer position and does not require FINRA licensing.
In this role, you will:
- Analyze market conditions and trading opportunities to support profitable and timely securities execution decisions
- Establish bid and ask prices on securities, including fixed income products
- Execute complex client and bank securities trades with security dealers, municipalities, corporations, and broker/dealer counterparties
- Support trading activity across fixed income securities, managed funds, municipal bonds, and capital markets products
- Review securities trading documentation to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Process trade tickets and support post-trade review, documentation, and reconciliation activities
- Monitor market trends, new issues, current holdings, and innovative securities products
- Analyze, develop, and coordinate the introduction of new securities products and services
- Maintain and strengthen broker/dealer relationships while bringing credibility and visibility to trading efforts
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Managed Funds equity trading, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of fixed income experience
- 2+ years of capital markets experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of trading desk operations, securities trading, or capital markets operations
- Experience with municipal securities, municipal bond trading, or fixed income products
- Proficiency with trading and market platforms including Bloomberg, MarketAxess, SEI and/or Tradeweb
- Ability to maintain and build strong broker/dealer relationships
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate market trends, portfolio needs, and trading opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex capital markets and securities trading information to diverse audiences
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review trade documentation for accuracy and compliance

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
