Senior Data Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a senior data engineer

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverables
• Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting
• Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 7+ yrs of application development and implementation experience
• 7+ yrs of Oracle experience
• 7+ yrs of PL/SQL experience
• Hands on Experience on AI, GenAI, Agentic AI and ML
• Hands on Experience on Cloud preferably GCP
• Good knowledge in data warehouse concepts & very good understanding of Software development Life cycle.
• Good communication, analytical & problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• 2+ yrs of AI/ML experience
• 2+ yrs of GCP Big Query experience

Job Expectations:

• This position is for Senior Data Engineer working in the Community Bank Data Development team. The person is expected to be well versed with Agile methodology and should be capable to work in T shaped development environment.
• This role will interact daily with both Technical and Non-Technical team members including our Community Bank business partners.
• Our applications support the Community Bank business priorities through enhancements, production support, and new development using Oracle, PL-SQL, UNIX, Python and Autosys.
• Product Development is a large part of the day-to-day work for this position. Although, the role requires strengths in data, business intelligence and reporting as well.
