About this Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Off‑Cycle M&A Analyst Intern to join our Investment Banking team in Paris. This six‑month internship offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions environment and to contribute directly to live transaction work, strategic analysis, and client materials.

The Role

As an Off‑Cycle M&A Analyst Intern, you will support the Paris M&A team across market analysis, valuation exercises, and execution deliverables. You will work closely with Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managing Directors across Paris, London, and the U.S. as part of an integrated deal team.

You will contribute to live mandates as well as strategic advisory assignments, preparing analytical materials, financial models, and client presentations. You will be treated as an integral team member, expected to demonstrate initiative, rigour, and a strong commitment to high‑quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and synthesise financial and operating information on companies, industries, and markets.
• Create, update, and maintain financial models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
• Collect and analyse market data to support valuations and transaction recommendations.
• Draft presentations and memoranda for internal and external audiences.
• Assist in the preparation of client materials, including pitchbooks and transaction documents.
• Support live transaction processes, including due diligence, data‑room review, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Participate in team discussions and, where appropriate, attend client meetings or calls.
• Contribute to research on market trends, strategic themes, and relevant M&A activity.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent academic record from a business school / university in France / Europe
• Master’s student — either on a gap year or admitted post‑bachelor — specialising in Finance, Economics, or Banking

Ce poste implique une participation active aux mandats en cours ainsi qu’aux missions de conseil stratégique, notamment à travers la préparation d’analyses, de modèles financiers et de présentations destinées aux clients, avec un haut niveau d’exigence en matière de rigueur, d’initiative et de qualité du travail.

Dans le cadre de ce poste, vous devrez :

• Collecter et synthétiser des informations financières et opérationnelles sur des entreprises, des secteurs et des marchés
• Elaborer, mettre à jour et maintenir des modèles financiers (DCF, étude des transactions comparables et de comparables boursiers)
• Collecter et analyser des données de marché afin d’appuyer les travaux de valorisation et l’exécution de transactions
• Rédiger des présentations et des mémorandums d’informations destinés à des audiences internes et externes
• Participer à la préparation de documents destinés aux clients, notamment des pitchbooks et des documents liés aux transactions
• Contribuer aux processus d’exécution des transactions en cours, incluant les missions de due diligence, l’organisation de datarooms et la coordination avec les différentes parties prenantes
• Participer aux échanges au sein de l’équipe et, le cas échéant, assister à des réunions avec les clients
• Contribuer aux travaux de recherche sur les tendances de marché, les thématiques stratégiques et l’activité M&A pertinente

Qualifications requises :

• Excellent parcours académique au sein d’une université ou d’une école de commerce de premier rang en France ou en Europe
• Étudiant(e) en Master, en année de césure ou admis(e) en Master après un cycle Bachelor, avec une spécialisation en finance, économie ou banque

Qualifications souhaitées :

• Aisance dans le travail en équipe et dans les interactions avec l’ensemble des niveaux de l’organisation, dans un environnement nécessitant flexibilité, collaboration et adaptabilité
• Solides compétences analytiques, avec une attention élevée portée aux détails et à la précision
• Aptitude à évoluer dans un environnement exigeant et à rythme soutenu, en gérant efficacement plusieurs priorités simultanément
• Très bonne maîtrise des outils Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook et PowerPoint)
• Intérêt marqué pour les marchés financiers
• Maîtrise courante du français et de l’anglais
• Excellentes qualités de communication écrite et orale, avec une aptitude à exprimer des idées de manière claire et structurée
