About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business Systems Consultant to support and advance the organization’s Application Security program through effective project management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change leadership.
This role will focus on coordinating and evolving application security initiatives—including AppSec scanning practices and vulnerability management—across a diverse portfolio of applications The consultant will drive program execution, process optimization, and adoption of security practices by partnering across business, technology, and security teams.
The ideal candidate blends application security domain awareness with strong program management, communication, and change management capabilities, ensuring that security initiatives are well-integrated into the software development lifecycle and deliver measurable risk reduction. Success in this role means enabling scalable, efficient, and business-aligned application security practices that are consistently adopted across the enterprise.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate moderately complex problems and identify scalable, cost-effective application security and system solutions
- Drive the planning, coordination, and execution of application security programs, including AppSec scanning practices and related assurance activities
- Lead cross-functional project management efforts, including scope definition, timelines, resource coordination, and dependency tracking
- Facilitate communication and alignment between application teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and adoption of security practices
- Translate technical security findings into business-relevant insights and actionable recommendations
- Support organizational change management efforts, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communication strategies to improve security awareness and adoption
- Monitor and report on program performance, including testing coverage, risk posture, and remediation progress
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of security processes, workflows, and service delivery models
- Provide guidance and training to user groups; gather feedback to inform improvements in tools, processes, and user experience
- Exercise independent judgment in developing program plans, budgets, and prioritization strategies
- Leverage approved AI tools to support research, analysis, documentation, and decision-making while adhering to data privacy and security standards
- Apply sound judgment in interpreting AI-generated outputs and aligning them to business and security objectives
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Advanced project and program management skills, including scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management
- Knowledge of application security lifecycle, including planning, execution, and reporting
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience managing or coordinating cross-functional programs or initiatives spanning multiple teams, applications, or vendors
- Experience supporting organizational change initiatives, including communication planning, training, and adoption measurement
- Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and tools, including prioritization, tracking, and remediation coordination
- Ability to interpret technical findings and communicate business risk and impact clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience facilitating collaboration between security, development, and business teams to drive outcomes
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, and audit expectations related to application security programs
- Experience defining or improving operational processes, workflows, and service delivery models
- Ability to develop and track metrics and reporting to measure program effectiveness and risk reduction
- Understanding of how security controls integrate into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Awareness of emerging trends such as AI-assisted development and associated security considerations
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across teams
- Advanced use of Microsoft 365 and Co-Pilot

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
