About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Securities Product Manager to work in the eMacro Product organization, focused on Rates e-trading. This role sits at the intersection of electronic Trading, Sales, Quant, and Technology, with accountability for shaping a commercially driven product agenda and bringing structure, focus, and momentum to a complex and fast‑moving book of work.

The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of Rates market structure with the ability to set direction, influence stakeholders, and turn ambiguity into a clear execution path. This is a business‑facing product leadership role, not a pure delivery or requirements function.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner closely with Rates Trading, Quant, Sales to identify, prioritize, and advance initiatives that drive client adoption, market relevance, and revenue growth across Rates e-trading.
  • Own and evolve the eRates product narrative - articulating where the platform is going, why it matters commercially, and how individual initiatives support broader business objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client trading workflows, distribution models, and liquidity dynamics, translating those insights into product direction and investment focus.
  • Shape and maintain a coherent, outcome‑oriented development agenda, ensuring effort is focused on the highest‑impact business opportunities.
  • Bring order to a diverse and evolving set of demands by establishing clear priorities, sequencing decisions, and trade‑offs, informed by commercial value and execution reality.
  • Act as a point of synthesis across disparate inputs from Trading, Sales, Quants, and Technology—aligning stakeholders around a shared set of goals and expectations.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders, facilitating productive dialogue, resolving competing priorities, and driving timely decisions.
  • Represent the eRates Product in forums to communicate progress, challenges, and strategic intent with clarity and credibility.
  • Build strong working relationships with Technology leadership to ensure delivery capacity is aligned with business priorities and strategic direction.
  • Work alongside engineering teams to ensure product initiatives are well‑understood, commercially grounded, and realistically scoped.
  • Provide ongoing guidance to keep initiatives aligned with intended business outcomes as market conditions, priorities, and constraints evolve.
  • Maintain appropriate awareness of risk, controls, and governance expectations relevant to electronic trading platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Securities Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial markets, with a strong background in Rates Trading or Electronic Rates Sales.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment, influencing outcomes across Trading, Sales, Quant, and Technology without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with the Agile Software Development Process, including collecting business requirements, managing scrum teams, and scoping storypoints for work efforts
  • Understanding of Jira ticketing system and associated reporting
  • Strong commercial judgment, structured thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience in a customer‑facing, risk, or trading strategy role prior to moving into product, business management, or platform leadership.
  • Prior exposure to technology delivery teams, with an understanding of how large‑scale trading platforms are built and evolved (hands‑on coding not required).
  • Track record of bringing focus and discipline to complex initiatives while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.
