About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Specialist.


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements

  • Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues

  • Assist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issue

  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives

  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable

  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Perform daily Profit and Loss reporting, attribution reporting, analysis of Pnl breaks between systems

  • Perform daily reconciliation of Profit and Loss with finance and system of record

  • Perform daily reconciliation of unrealized PNL, realized PNL and marketing fee between system of record and Front Office

  • Understanding of market data, ex: Curves, Vols. Experience in processing/ saving market data.

  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures for PNL Team

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of derivative products.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development

  • Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization

  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity

  • Demonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness in all areas, foster teamwork

Job Expectations:

  • University degree/Post graduation in Business /Accounts/Economics/Stats.

  • 10 to 12 years of experience in the Middle office, risk and Pnl in any asset class, commodity experience is preferred.

  • Us shift role : 09:00- 18:00 EST

  • Any degree or certification in financial instruments ex: FRM OR CFA Level 1 /2

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, use of Pivots, Logical formulas, any macro or programming is desirable

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • Analyst should have strong numerical and analytical skills, strong articulation and out of box thinking.
