Lead Digital Product Manager - Capital Markets

About the role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Lead Digital Product Manager to join the Lending & Markets Digital Banking team and help transform Wells Fargo’s Digital Experience in the Capital Markets arena of Wholesale Banking. This role requires deep domain expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including operations, sales, product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders across legal, risk, compliance, and senior business leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking, including experience serving Commercial Banking (CB) and Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) clients. This individual will be grounded in modern digital product principles and demonstrate a proven ability to rethink traditional processes - creating bespoke experiences orchestrated and enhanced by AI.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of complex digital business plans, programs, projects, and initiatives which have impact across the enterprise

  • Drive the development, refinement, and implementation of product & user-based experience strategies

  • Make decisions in digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area requiring strong understanding of the business, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Be a key participant in large-scale planning

  • Turn product vision and voice of the customer into actionable epics, features, stories, and technical requirements in partnership with design, engineering, and other product partners

  • Create test scripts and perform functional and responsive user acceptance testing in support of implemented changes / updates

  • Manage and participate in the regular releases of system and software updates

  • Actively own the prioritization, refinement, and execution of enhancements and developments within a clearly understood product area

  • Identify and build relationships with key partners and stakeholders to communicate product vision, strategies, and priorities while soliciting and incorporating feedback

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant digital business plans, programs, projects, and initiatives which have significant impact

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise

  • Drive delivery excellence at an accelerated pace but never sacrifice Value and Quality for speed

  • Interact with internal and external clients to design a digital experience delivered bespoke for each user

  • Never lose sight of the centrality of Risk Management for the bank and our clients. Become a trusted partner with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Control functions

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years with digital product development on Capital Markets products (FX, Payments & Investing, preferred)

  • Proven ability coordinating highly complex activities and guide others

  • Experience with Agile practices and frameworks to include Scrum, Kanban, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint

  • Demonstrated experience delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  • Experience building end-user facing digital applications across multiple form factors and platforms (UI & reporting)

  • Experience with large-scale transformation initiatives

  • Experience leading scrum teams, partnering with development, QA, and Design

  • Experience with business analysis, eliciting use cases and requirements from business partners

  • Experience with rapid prototyping via wireframing, prototyping or other similar methods

  • Bias for action (i.e. entrepreneurial approach to product management vis a vis experimentation, execution, and moving quickly)

  • Familiarity with CB & CIB products, use cases, opportunities, and challenges and how to resolve them digitally

Job Expectations:

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

  • This position is a hybrid work model. Must be willing to work out of Charlotte, NC, San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY office approximately 3 days a week

Pay Range:

  • Charlotte, NC: $119,000 - $187,000

  • San Francisco, CA: $143,000 - $224,000

  • New York, NY: $143,000 - $224,000

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
