RIA Business Execution Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a RIA Business Execution Consultant to support strategic initiatives within the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) segment. This role partners with senior leadership to define, build, and execute large-scale, cross-functional business initiatives, including practice transformation, business management frameworks, and enterprise change efforts.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, can build structure from the ground up, and brings strong expertise in change management, business operations, and practice evolution, ensuring sustainable adoption of new processes, tools, and capabilities.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a strategic Business Execution advisor to senior leadership, driving performance, business initiatives, and transformation priorities across the RIA business

  • Lead practice change and business transformation efforts, helping advisor-facing teams evolve operating models, workflows, and client engagement approaches

  • Design and implement business management frameworks, including performance tracking, operational governance, and KPI monitoring

  • Drive change management strategies, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, tools, and technologies through stakeholder engagement, communication, and training

  • Build and scale new programs and processes from ambiguity, translating evolving business needs into structured execution roadmaps

  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable plans, partnering closely with technology teams to design and deliver scalable solutions

  • Lead cross-functional execution across business, technology, operations, and external partners, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy

  • Facilitate leadership forums, governance routines, and steering committees to drive decision-making, prioritization, and accountability

  • Develop executive communications, reporting, and insights, using data and analytics to measure performance and inform strategy

  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and successful delivery outcomes

  • Provide direction and influence to cross-functional teams, driving execution through collaboration in a matrixed environment


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting RIA, Wealth Management, or Financial Advisor practice environments

  • Demonstrated expertise in change management methodologies and driving enterprise or business-line transformation initiatives

  • Experience with practice management and advisor business models, including operational efficiency and client service enhancements

  • Proven ability to build business processes, frameworks, or programs from the ground up in ambiguous environments

  • Strong business management experience, including planning, performance measurement, and operational governance

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate data-driven insights and recommendations

  • Strong executive communication skills, including development of presentations for senior leadership audiences

  • Ability to translate complex business and technical needs into clear, actionable requirements

  • Experience partnering with technology teams, vendors, and third-party providers

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, including implementation, optimization, or build-out efforts

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple levels of the organization


Job Expectations:

  • Follow enterprise guidelines related to in-person office work schedule. Currently, hybrid work schedule (at least 3 days in-person/week) - this is subject to change in the future​
  • Up to 15% travel
